Prophet Hud (PBUH)

Aad is among the descendants of Nuh’ s grandson Iram. This nation was settled in south Arabia. And it was spread in 13 communities from Oman to Yemen. The capital of their country was the Yemeni city of Hadar mut. Them era is about 400 years after Nuh (peace be upon). Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) is from the same nation, in this sense he is his national and Native brother.

The Nation Of Aad

The people of Aad were very strong and tall. At that time, there was no nation in the world as strong and powerful as this nation. And them was skilled in architecture. Wadil -Qura is the name of their place. Where they used to carve mountains and make very safe and strong houses.

Idol Worship 

Idolatry had spread among these people. Separate deities were created for providing sustenance, bringing rain, healing and for various demands and needs. Who was worshiped. Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) stopped them. And Threatened them with the punishment of this great crime. The nation said you are a foolish (Nauzubillah) who have left the way of your fathers and separated from the whole community. And you are liars who are threatening punishment by attributing your words to God.

The Invitation And Preaching Of Hud (PBUH)

Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) said that I am not foolish, but I am fulfilling the right of prophethood that Allah has assigned to me. It is your folly that your true well -wisher, whose trust and honesty are already well -satisfied. You are harming yourself by saying that you are stupid. After Nuh’s people established your governments in the world and settled you in its place. Perhaps while reminding them of this kindness, he also warned them that the fate that befell them due to idolatry the rejection of the Messenger should not be your. This nation was famous of its physical strength. The favors mentioned. They and other innumerable favors of Allah should be remembered and be grateful and obedient to Him. Not that you start rebelling against the real Lord.

Prophet Hud (Peace Be Upon Him) Explaining To The Nation 

Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) said to the nation,”I don’t need your wealth.”My creator is the sponsor of all worldly needs and rewards of the hereafter. Every prophet said this to his people so that the advice would be selfless and effective. People should not transfer them hard work to worldly greed. You are so stupid you don’t even understand such a thick that a person who speaks about you well -being without greed and selfishness, just out of sympathy and goodwill. You argue with him like an enemy. Allah Almighty will send good rains. As that nation was very interested in farming and planting gardens.

Therefore, Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) described the clear benefits and blessings to believe. Which were particularly encouraging in their favor. It is written that those people were suffering from drought for three years. Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) promised that if you believe and turn to Allah, this trouble will be removed. There will be progress in financial and prosperity. Turn to Allah Almighty and do not turn away from His obedience like the criminals. 

The Stubbornness Of The Nation 

It was their stubbornness. Them used to say that you did not bring any clear document and proof of your authenticity. May God appoint whom to the position of a prophet. He is required to give appointment certificate and permit. Therefore, it is in the Hadith that such clear signs were sent with the prophet who was sent. In which people can believe if they to. Therefore, it can be said with certainly that Prophet Hud peace be upon him must have presented the signs. But they stubbornly kept saying that you did not bring any open sign. 

The Insolence Of The Nation 

The nation said, anyway, we cannot leave our gods just because of your words. Neither can ever believe your message. This is what you are talking about and making everyone your enemy by calling them fools. We think that one of our gods has driven you mad (Nauzubillah). You who used to stop from worshiping and say bad things. He punished this Insolence that now you started talking like crazy people. 

Prophet Hud’s Answer 

Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) said. What harm can those poor stone statues do to me? All of you who look so strong and powerful. Even by gathering an army of your god and suddenly attacking a loner like me with full force, they cannot shake my hair. Listen, I declare Allah as witness. And all of you be witness to it. That I am absolutely disgusted with your false gods. All of you together deliver whatever hurt you can deliver to me. And understand well that my trust is only in Allah. Who is my Lord and He is your Lord and Ruler. You cannot understand with misunderstanding.

No only me and you, but every small and big thing that walks on the earth. It is in the possession and disposal of khalsa Allah. No one can escape his control. Nor can the oppressors escape his grasp. Nor can righteous people be disgraced by being under his protection. Indeed, my Lord is on the straight path of justice. There is neither cruelty nor untimely reward. He showed his servants the straight path of goodness and goodness. Verily, walking on it leads to Allah. And He himself is always there to protect those who walk on it. If you don’t believe even after hearing such clear and honest words, then there is no harm to me. I have fully fulfilled the duty of preaching. 

To Warn The Nation Of Allah’s Punishment 

The nation said you should worry about yourself. Prophet Hud peace be upon him said that for this kind of stubbornness, bigotry and obstinacy, there will be punishment from sky that will destroy you. Allah’s land will not be destroyed by your destruction. He will make other people the heirs of your wealth etc. Remember that by eliminating you, nothing of Allah or His Messengers is damaged, nor is His country damaged. Allah comforted that Noah and his companions had a good end. The future of your colleagues is also very bright and successful. Be patient with the persecution of the infidels Don’t panic. As Noah endured for 950 years. 

The Nation Aad Said 

We are not going to deviate from our ancestral ways. If you are true in your threats, then show it by doing what you say. It is your ignorance to make such a demand. I am the Messenger of Allah, delivering the message that has been given to me. I don’t know more than that only Allah knows when a disbelieving nation is subject to worldly punishment and how long it should be respite.

Punishment Of Allah Almighty 

For seven nights and eight days, that furious storm of wind raged. In front of whom the reality of trees, people, animals was no more than straws. Everything was uprooted by the wind and destruction spread everywhere. Houses collapsed, roofs were blown off, trees were uprooted and fell somewhere. The air was so poisonous that it entered the noses of men and used to tear their bodies. Allah Almighty protected Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) and his companions, who eventually numbered 4000, from this terrible punishment. After the death of the people of Aad. Prophet Hud peace be upon him went to yemeni city “Hadra mut” with the believers. And here he passed away at the age of 464 after performing the duty of calling and preaching for fifty years.
